Egg-Haters?

If your kids are anything like mine they are not huge fans of eggs. I have tried to serve eggs all SORTS of ways and they always seem to turn up their noses. Sometimes when children refuse a popular food there may be an underlying allergy or intolerance to the food so I don't push it.

The egg ordeal only becomes a problem at breakfast time when I want them to have a burst of protein to get them through the morning without suffering hunger pangs or low energy. So what do I serve them for breakfast? The usual bacon and sausage is fine but it's usually loaded with salt and preservatives so we save that for breakfast out.
A healthier option that is a hit in our house is turkey bacon. (Make sure to read the label to make sure it's NOT preserved in anything.)

It's quite simple to make and doesn't leave your kitchen with that greasy diner smell!

Heat up a pan on low heat.
Run cold water over the turkey bacon to rinse and pat dry with a towel.
Place turkey bacon in pan and let cook for about 20 minutes or until slightly crispy.
Make sure to flip over halfway through.
Place on paper towels to drain and cool.
Voila...Protein!
